Message from Rotary Makati Central
The Rotary Club of Makati Central is honored to collaborate with the prestigious national organization, the United Architects of the Philippines, led by President Medeliano Roldan, for this "Bahay Pinoy Design Competition."
In 2006, Makati Central Rotary launched its nationwide "Bamboo for Life" advocacy which seeks to encourage the cultivation of bamboo for reforestation and carbon sequestration, as well as the development of the bamboo industry in our country.
With your help, we can make bamboo a very prolific building material, both for low-cost housing components, interior decor, furniture, and numerous other products. This in turn will help make our country more "green" and likewise provided livelihood to our fellowmen.
Our warmest best wishes to UAP and may our joint project be a great success!
